Allah, the Exalted – Allah, Exalted is He – nothing is like Him, and He hears all and sees all.

His appearance in dreams varies according to the nature and consciousness of each individual. Whoever dreams of Him in a manner befitting His Majesty and Sublimity—without imagining or associating His form with anything from the created world—will find that such a dream indicates goodness in both worldly and religious matters, and in the Hereafter. But if someone dreams of Him in any other way, the dream reflects the poor state of their consciousness and soul.

Whoever dreams of Allah while being ill will die, for the Exalted Allah is the Truth, and death is also the truth. If someone who is misguided dreams of Him, they will be guided to the right path through the vision of Him, the Exalted. If someone who suffers injustice dreams of Him, they will triumph over their enemies.

Hearing His speech—which resembles no other speech—may indicate that the dreamer follows religious innovations, or it could signify protection from fear or the fulfillment of wishes. If His speech comes without a visible appearance or vision, it can indicate elevation in status, especially if He reveals something to the dreamer. If that occurs behind a veil, it may point to innovation and misguidance, but it could also suggest elevation in rank.

Some say that any dream in which Allah, the Exalted, appears in a describable form falls under the category of “confused dreams” and holds no value, as Allah cannot be confined by any limits, nor compared to anything created. Others say that if someone dreams of Allah in a form or specific location, it indicates they lie about the Exalted or attribute to Him things unworthy of Him.

Whoever dreams that Allah speaks to them and they are able to look at Him, Allah will show them mercy and complete His blessings upon them. Whoever dreams of gazing upon Allah will see Him in the Hereafter. If someone dreams of praying in His presence, they will attain His mercy and die as a martyr if they seek that, and will achieve whatever they desire—whether in this world or the next.

Whoever dreams of embracing Allah or kissing part of His Being will receive the reward they seek and the compensation they hope for. If one dreams that Allah grants them some worldly pleasure, they will face hardships and illnesses, but Allah will thereby multiply their reward and elevate their status.

If someone dreams that Allah has promised them forgiveness or entry into Paradise, they will live with constant fear of Allah and avoid sin. If someone dreams of the Exalted Allah but cannot gaze at Him, or sees His Throne, it means they are preparing for something good. But if they see Him and speak with Him and are also able to look at Him—or see Him upon His Throne—they will achieve great good and profound knowledge.

If someone dreams of fleeing from the Exalted Allah while He pursues them, and they are a pious person, it means they will turn away from worship and obedience. If they have a father, they will be disobedient to him; if they are a servant, they will rebel and flee from their master.

If someone dreams there is a veil between them and Allah, it means they commit evil deeds and major sins. If they dream that Allah appears angry or stern with them, or that they cannot bear His light, or are confused upon seeing Him, or they ask Him for forgiveness, it means they are sinful, practice religious innovations, or commit serious transgressions.

If Allah says something to the dreamer, it should be understood as a warning and a call away from disobedience. If someone dreams that Allah speaks to them, it means they recite the Qur’an frequently. If they understand what Allah says in the dream, it may indicate they will hear words from a ruler or another powerful authority.

If someone dreams that Allah has placed His hand upon their head and blessed them, Allah will honor them and raise their rank—but they will remain in trials until death. If someone dreams that Allah appears in the form of their father, brother, or a dear relative or friend and shows them kindness and blesses them, it means they will face some health difficulties through which Allah will increase their reward.

If someone dreams that Allah looks upon a specific place or house—or descends into a land, city, or area—justice will prevail there and, with Allah’s help, goodness and prosperity will increase. But if He appears with a frown or the place is covered in darkness, it indicates destruction, the fall of its people, or disasters and calamities.

If Allah appears near someone who is sad, oppressed, imprisoned, or in any undesirable state, He will remove their hardship and grant relief. If someone dreams of cursing or insulting Allah, they are denying His blessings and are dissatisfied with the sustenance Allah has decreed for them.

If someone dreams of standing before Allah and looking at Him, and they are among the righteous, that vision is one of mercy. But if they are not among the righteous, they should be cautious.

If someone dreams of calling out to Allah in a low voice, they will be honored with closeness to Him and will be beloved among people. The same applies if they dream of being in prostration before Allah.

If someone dreams that Allah speaks to them from behind a veil, their faith is sound. If they have been entrusted with something, they will fulfill it. If they hold power, it will be strengthened. But if Allah speaks to them without a veil, there is something incorrect in their belief.

If someone dreams that Allah covers them with something, it points to worries and illnesses throughout life, through which they will earn a great reward. If they dream that Allah calls them by name or another name, their rank will be raised and they will overcome their enemies.

If someone dreams that Allah is angry with them, it means their parents are angry with them. And if they dream that their parents are angry with them, it means Allah is angry with them. If they dream that Allah is enraged with them, they will fall from a high status. And if they dream of falling from a wall, the sky, or a mountain, it means Allah is angry with them.

If someone dreams of an idol or image and is told that this is their god, and they believe it and start worshipping it or prostrating to it, they are deep in misguidance and falsehood, thinking it is the truth.

If someone dreams that Allah prays in a place, that place will be surrounded by His mercy and forgiveness. If someone dreams that Allah kisses them, and they are among the righteous, they will devote themselves to worship, Qur’an recitation, and teaching it to others. If they are not among the righteous, then they are practicing religious innovations.

If someone dreams that Allah calls them and they respond, they will—by Allah’s permission—complete the Hajj.

If Allah appears in a specific place that is destroyed and abandoned, it means that place will be revived. But if it is already populated, it may face devastation. If its people are oppressive and unjust, they will face His punishment. But if they are the victims of injustice, they will receive justice.

The appearance of Allah in a specific place can also signify the establishment of a powerful authority there, the arrival of a tyrant ruler, or the visit of a great scholar or skilled healer.

Fear of Allah in a dream indicates peace and tranquility, protection from misguidance, and abundant sustenance.

If someone dreams they have become Allah, they will be guided to the straight path. If they dream that Allah threatens them, it means they will commit a sin.
