Ablution (Wudu):
If a person dreams that they performed ablution with clean water while they were already in a state of ablution, this symbolizes light upon light, as mentioned in the hadith: “Ablution upon ablution is light upon light.” Ablution in a dream can also signify the fulfillment of one’s needs through influential or high-ranking individuals—if the ablution is completed, the needs will be fulfilled; if not, they will remain unmet. Ablution may also symbolize receiving protection and security from Allah, the Exalted.
If one dreams of performing ablution or bathing in running water, it means they will recover something that was stolen or lost. If one dreams of performing ablution with something unsuitable or impure, they will face difficulties and hope to overcome them, but will not succeed.
If one dreams of praying without ablution, and they are a merchant, they will engage in trade without capital. If they are a ruler, they will have no army.
If someone dreams of praying in an inappropriate place, such as a garbage dump, it means they will hesitate in an undertaking and fail to accomplish it. If a sick person dreams that they are performing ablution while lying in bed, it indicates separation from a spouse or a close companion.
If one dreams of performing ablution out of fear of Allah’s anger or the wrath of angels, it signifies divine displeasure. If a person dreams of performing ablution over their master’s head, they will inherit from them. But if the master performs ablution over the dreamer’s head, the dreamer will suffer great loss and humiliation at their hands.
Some scholars say that ablution symbolizes a trust that the dreamer will fulfill, a debt that will be repaid, or a testimony that will be given truthfully.
If one dreams that they properly perform ablution:
– If they are in hardship, Allah will grant them ease and security.
– If they are ill, Allah will heal them.
– If they are in debt, Allah will help them repay it.
– If they have sins, Allah will forgive them.
However, if they dream of performing ablution improperly, they will not achieve what they intended.
If one dreams of performing ablution or bathing in hot water, it indicates affliction, hardship, or illness.
